The ministry of Seeds is most known for its bookstore/resource center that carries almost 10,000 titles to serve the 2,500 or so people who visit the bookstore on an average week. But did you know that Seeds is also responsible for media production?
In fact, Seeds produced and distributed more than 250,000 messages last year, many of which were sent out of Illinois and even overseas. Messages are also available on DVD, CD and cassette tape and can be sent via subscription.
What we carry:
We have Bibles, small-group studies, message tapes and message CDs, music by Christian artists, Christian fiction for children and adults, books for spiritual growth and encouragement, greeting cards, children's music and videos, magazines and songbooks.
During conference times, we carry a full line of the speaker-recommended books and Willow Creek Association sheet music.
We do not carry:
Postcards, T-shirts, packaging/mailing supplies, jewelry, church and Sunday school supplies, sheet music or accompaniment tapes. We also do not carry Promiseland Curriculum, individual drama scripts or Willow Creek Resources sheet music. To order these Willow Creek Resources, click here.
Foreign language resources:
Bibles, books, music and videos in Spanish. Some message tapes are also available in Spanish.
Where does the Money Go?
The Seeds Resource Center is one of the self-supporting ministries at Willow Creek. All of the net profits derived from bookstore sales are returned to other church ministries - Community Care and the Food Pantry, for example - to help support life change throughout the church.
In Year 2000, the breakdown of every dollar spent in Seeds was used in the following manner:
56 percent was used to buy the products sold in Seeds
17 percent went toward operating expenses such as salaries, computer support, volunteer care, equipment maintenance, etc.
27 percent was returned to the church to support various ministries and building funds.
Every dollar you spend in Seeds is invested in life-changing work, and your support is greatly appreciated. Thank You.
